You need a new mouse, but you’re drowning in the number of products currently on the market… And what’s more, you’re looking for something a little different. 8BitDo may have the solution with a wireless mouse featuring a top-of-the-range sensor inspired by the design of a legendary console from the 1980s, the NES. Featuring a PAW 3395 sensor, it weighs 77 grams and is capable of reaching 4,000 Hz in wireless mode and 8,000 Hz in wired mode. It has 2 wireless connection modes: Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz. It’s in the latter mode that you’ll get the best responsiveness (without the wired connection).
The mouse comes with a charging station, also in the NES design. If you’re a bit curious, you may have seen that the brand also launched another Retro R8 Mouse version with an Xbox design a little earlier. The technical specifications are the same. First of all, this mouse is suitable for both left- and right-handed users. As for the technical specifications, in 2.4 GHz mode, the frequency can be adjusted from 125 to 4,000 Hz, giving a battery life of 26 to 105 hours. Battery life is provided by a rechargeable 450mAh battery. In USB mode, the frequency varies from 125 to 8,000 Hz. The mouse includes custom NES-style buttons on one side and a 6-level adjustable DPI. The price is $49.99 in the US, and probably €49.99 in Europe on Amazon (delivery at the end of June). A relatively aggressive price that may… Either trigger a certain amount of enthusiasm… Or a certain amount of concern about the quality. If you browse the brand’s catalogue, you’ll also notice that a keyboard with the same aesthetic is also on the program.

As we like products that are a little different, we’re going to try and get hold of one from this range and we’ll be back to you soon.
