Eventbase and Pointr returned to CES 2026 following a successful debut in 2025, delivering the next generation of event technology through a deeply integrated mobile experience. The collaboration combined Eventbase’s event app platform with Pointr’s AI maps and blue dot navigation to provide seamless navigation for the world’s most influential tech event.

In 2026, in-app wayfinding recorded 704,189 navigation sessions over four days, up from approximately 500,000 sessions in 2025, reflecting growing attendee adoption and reliance on precise, real-time maps to navigate one of the world’s most complex event environments.

Navigation Across 8 Million Square Feet, 13 Venues

The CES mobile app, powered by Eventbase, served as the digital hub for the attendee experience. By natively integrating Pointr Maps into the CES app, attendees were guided across more than 8.17 million square feet spanning 14 venues throughout Las Vegas.

Eventbase’s robust mobile infrastructure ensured that mapping features were easily accessible alongside critical schedule, networking and exhibitor information. With 1–3 meter blue-dot accuracy, attendees experienced seamless indoor-outdoor transitions and multi-floor detection, allowing them to confidently move between halls, sessions, exhibitor booths and amenities.

“The enhanced CES app significantly improved the attendee experience, with blue dot mapping emerging as one of the most praised features. Attendees consistently highlighted how the real-time navigation helped them move through the show more efficiently and confidently, reinforcing the value of thoughtful, user-centered design.” Melissa Harrison, VP Marketing and Communications at the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).

High Engagement and Actionable Insights

The seamless connection between the Eventbase app interface and mapping technology drove high engagement with navigation analytics showing 91% positive user feedback from 704,189 total sessions. Features such as booth favoriting, highlighting selected exhibitors directly on the map, drove repeat usage and supported complex, multi-venue attendee journeys throughout the show.

“These insights help organizers understand how attendees actually experience an event,” said Scott Berkley, Events Vertical Lead at Pointr. “CES 2026 represents the next step in using location intelligence not just to guide people, but to inform smarter event design and planning moving forward.”

Faster Deployment Through Connected Venues

At the Las Vegas Convention Center, the deployment leveraged existing Bluetooth beacon infrastructure for rapid activation with minimal operational overhead. This approach reflects Pointr’s Connected Venue Program, which allows events to activate high-accuracy navigation quickly using existing infrastructure such as Bluetooth beacons or Wi-Fi access points. The platform is already live at major venues, including Javits Center in New York, for NRF’s Retail’s Big Show.

What’s Next

Building on CES 2026, Eventbase and Pointr are continuing to evolve the standard for in-app navigation for large-scale events by combining Eventbase’s event app platform with Pointr’s AI mapping and location technology.

The partnership roadmap includes Pointr v9, featuring enhanced map profiles, real-time content controls and early deployments of Agentic AI to enable more intelligent, proactive attendee guidance. The platform is already being extended to other flagship events, including Salesforce Dreamforce and Workday Rising, as organizers look to leverage the combined power of premium event apps and location intelligence.
