What The Frell Is A Dual-Mode Display, You May Ask?

MSI’s MAG 321CUPDF is both a 32″ 320Hz 1080p display and a 32″ 160Hz 4K display. which you can toggle between in seconds using the OSD.  That should make it great for both competitive gamers looking for the highest refresh rate possible and those looking for the beauty of a 4K display.  When you change native resolutions, MSI’s AI Dual-Mode will change Windows display settings as well, so you don’t end up with ridiculously small icons when you change from one resolution to the other.  Unfortunately TweakTown wasn’t impressed with the 68.84 PPI you get when in 1080p, nor with the general quality of the screen in that resolution though they admit their bar might be set higher than most.

The display is Rapod-VA as opposed to OLED, which allows MSI to sell the MAG 321CUPDF for around $500 which is hundreds of dollars lower than what similar monitors from other manufacturers sell for. If you are looking for a dual-mode display you might be better off with a 28″ version, but if the idea of a 32′ appeals to you check out the full review as the MAG 321CUPDF is quite nice at 4K and might be good enough for you at 1080p.
